The oceans rose, swallowing the lowlands. Earthquakes
shattered the continents, toppling entire regions into the rising water. Now,
humans live packed into stack cities. The only ones with any space of their own
are those who live on the ocean floor: the Dark Life.
Ty has spent his whole life living deep undersea. When
outlaws attack his homestead, he finds himself in a fight to save the only home
he has ever known. Joined by Gemma, a girl from Topside, Ty ventures into the
frontier's rough underworld and discovers some dark secrets to Dark Life.
Secrets that threaten to destroy everything.
If you enjoyed Dark Life, you can read more about Ty and Gemma in Rip Tide.

ReplyDeleteI have not read this book yet but I think it is about a boy that lives in the sea.I have heard that the boy enjoys living in the sea from other people.I hope you will read this book and tell me how you like it.
ReplyDeleteI am only on page 16 and it is already a really good book. It is a really exciting book. Read if you want to find out more.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this book yet, but from what I've read about it, this book seems to be about a 15 year old boy named Ty who lives in the sea.He then meets a girl named Gemma. After that it seems that Ty and Gemma explore the sea looking for Outlaws that have been stealing supplies.I can't wait to finish this book!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really like this book so far. I think the rest will be even better than the first few pages already are.I think the authors are great at doing what they do.
ReplyDeleteI agree this book is awesome. I still have to read the whole story. I wonder what's going to happen.
DeleteF6Poole-Lusk , I disagree I think this book was boring to start off with ! But, I read on some more and still didn't find " Dark Life " as a favorite.
DeleteI love this book so far,it has mystery and action.I think that Ty and Gemma will have to fight the outlaws, and Gemma will find her brother.I also think they will save their city.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you this book is epic.i guess we have the same idea
DeleteI agree that the mystery and action make the book exciting. I don't like the idea of the East Coast falling off in to the ocean, the Rising. South Carolina would be under water and we would be pioneers. However, I would rather live under water than be a Topsider.
DeleteI agree that this book had be on the edge of my seat the entire time.
DeleteThis book made me want to live in the ocean compared to the Topside life
I'm on page 130 and this book has got me hooked on adventure hopefully gemma finds her brother...
DeleteThis book looks like it is awesome. Ty, the portaganist, is a person who lives on the ocean floor. So far, she has met this topsider or a person thats above water, named Gemma. I would recommend you read this book.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this book is awesome.I would rather live under water and maybe get a dark gift.
DeleteI think that the Dark Gift twist in the story was the best part. I never saw it coming!
DeleteYea. Dark gifts are my favorite part about this book. It also would be cool to live underwater.
DeleteI agree that this book is awesome.I would rather live underwater and maybe get a dark gift.

ReplyDeletethis book is awsome i love it
DeleteExciting, ambitious, adventure, and SUBSEA! A society underwater is a little crazy you'd think, but this story about a teen fighting outlaws, living nature, and other crazy stuff. If your a subsea and adventure person then this is a good book for you... (c'mon you know you want to read it.) ;)
ReplyDeletei think this is a goood book with a lot of twist and turns i like the plot and hope any one else who reads it likes it
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, f2chance. Especially with the "twist and turns." You definetly get your fair share of adventure.
DeleteThis is one of my all-time favorites, and that's saying something! I read a ton of books, and a lot of them I can't remember that clearly. This one was different-it stood out very quickly to me.
ReplyDeleteI started to read this book at first it was good but it started to get boring. :(
