Elise and Franklin have always been best friends. Elise has
always lived in the big house with her loving Uncle and Aunt, because Elise's
parents died when she was too young to remember them. There's always been a barn behind the house
with eight locked doors on the second floor.
When Elise and Franklin start middle school, things feel all
wrong. Bullying. Not fitting in. Franklin suddenly seems babyish. Then, soon after her 12th birthday, Elise
receives a mysterious key left for her by her father. A key that unlocks one of
the eight doors upstairs in the barn . . .
I really like this book so far. It has a great beginning and I can't wait to get farther. It is a very interesting book. I am glad I picked "Eight Keys"...I can't wait to read more. My eyes have been glued in it. I hope the other books I want to get are as good as this one.

ReplyDeleteYes! I agree with F1Sanchez. This book is full of suspense. I have finished it, and I LOVED the book. It was so good and it had a great ending! I hope that the rest of the books I read this year are like this one. It is a wonderful book. Hope you like it!!

DeleteI'm not saying it's bad but, based on what I've read so far.....IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KEYS! Then again, I'm only on chapter three... All I've read about so far is Elise (main character) having fun and going to middle school. Hopefully, I'll get to the keys part soon. Sorry if this is a spoiler! I didn't intend for it to be if it is.

ReplyDeleteThis book is amazing. I can't stop reading. I can't believe that Amanda keeps smashiing Elise's lunch and it is all Franklin's fault too. Elise probally wishes she could start 6th grade all over again.

Eight keys was a wonderful book.I loved the mysteries that each door unlocked.This book was a true story of all the troubles of a sixth grader.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved this book!! I love all of the books by Suzanne LaFleur. I love how Elise's first year in middle school starts off sucky, but then it gets better and she learns a life lesson from it. I had my eyes glued to the book and could NOT put it down. My math teacher even got a little mad because I wouldn't stop reading it! Definitely would recommend to anyone.
