The Underdogs


Will Tyler can fly on a football field. He may not be the biggest running back around, but no one can touch him when it comes to hitting the hole and finding the end zone. And no one can match his love of the game. When Will has a football in hand, he may as well be flying for real because life can't touch him: his dad isn't so defeated, his town isn't so poor, and everyone has something to cheer for. . . all of which does him no good if the football season is canceled. With no funding for things like uniforms and a cared-for playing field, with seemingly every other family moving to find jobs, there simply isn't enough money or players for a season, unless one kid can rally an entire town and give everyone a reason to believe . . .

    I liked the book it has a mystery feel about if they win the championsip .It is a very good book to show friendship. I hope you will read this book because its a great book.Especially

      I agree with f1owens, the sports theme keeps you interested. I think it's a great book for the MAKING WAVES program.

    I think that it is a exciting book, that has a good ending. I would recommend it to grades 5-9. If you like football you would like this.

      From what it sounds like, it would probably be a good book since it is about football I think it would be a good book.

    As of right now, Underdogs is a great book. It leaves you in suspense. The love Will shows for football is inspiring. I just don't want to put it down.

    This is one of the bestr books I have ever read. I highly recomend it for anyone who loves sports.
